What to expect during a dental implant procedure

1.Initial Consultation

A thorough examination and discussion with your dentist to determine if dental implants are the right solution for you.

2. Digital X-Rays

Digital X-rays are crucial for precise dental implant placement and bone assessment, minimizing radiation while ensuring safe and efficient procedures.

3. Treatment Plan

The dentist creates a personalized treatment plan based on your specific needs, including the number and placement of implants.

4. Tooth Extraction

Removal of any damaged or decayed teeth to make room for the implant.

5. Bone Grafting (if needed)

A procedure to augment and strengthen the jawbone if it is not thick or strong enough to support the implant.

6. Implant Placement

Surgical insertion of the titanium implant post into the jawbone, which will serve as the root for the new tooth.

7. Healing and Osseointegration

A period of several months where the implant fuses with the jawbone, ensuring a strong and stable foundation.

8. Abutment Placement

After healing, a small connector called an abutment is attached to the implant post to hold the replacement tooth.

9. Precise Digital Scanning/CAD/CAM

Using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technology, we use a small hand-held scanner to capture detailed images inside the mouth. This allows us to create and mill a custom dental implant restoration to ensure a perfect fit via our CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) advanced milling unit.

10. Crown Placement

The custom-made artificial tooth (crown) is attached to the abutment, completing the restoration and providing a natural look and function.

11. Follow Up Appointments

Regular check-ups to monitor the implant, ensure proper healing, and address any concerns.
